Best Food Deals at the 2011 Wisconsin State Fair
Looking to enjoy all of the delicious and creative cuisine the Wisconsin State Fair has to offer without leaving your wallet empty? For 2011, the Fair has many fantastic food deals to take advantage of during your visit.
One of the best deals available is the Fair Deals Bargain Book, available at any State Fair information booth. For just $4, you will have access to over $100 in savings. A sample of some of the deals offered in the Fair Deals Bargain Book are shown in the list below.
Another great deal is Crazy Grazin’ Day, which will be held on August 9th from 8am until 10pm. During Crazy Grazin’ Day, smaller portions of some of the Fair’s best foods will be available for very reasonable prices. Example deals include Saz’s Sour Cream and Chive Fries for $2.50, Deep Fried Smucker’s PB&J for $3.00 at the Machine Shed, and many more. Wisconsin State Fair 2011 Midway Ride Promotions
If enjoying the rides at the Wisconsin State Fair Midway is part of your Fair fun, make sure to take advantage of one of this year’s Midway ride promotions. As is the case with the State Fair admission promotions, it pays to plan ahead to get the most for your money.
The Midway at the State Fair typically features 30 full sized rides and 25 kiddie rides. Prices range from $2 to $6 or more per ride. A ”Ride-All-Day” wristband is available for $25. There are several discounts available for the wristband, as detailed below.
All of the 2011 Wisconsin State Fair Midway promotions are as follows. (Note that the Comet II roller coaster is excluded from all Midway promotions).
Cedar Crest Ice Cream Midway Special – Every Weekday of the Fair
Present one Cedar Crest Ice Cream lid at the Midway Office any weekday of the Fair between 11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. and receive $5 off a Midway “Ride-All-Day” Wristband voucher.
Hunger Task Force Opening Day Special – Thursday, August 4th
Enjoy $2 Midway rides on Opening Day between 11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. (Select rides may be excluded from this offer.)
Two-For-One “Ride-All Day” Midway Wristbands – Tuesday August 9th
On Tuesday, August 9th, Fairgoers will be able to purchase two “Ride-All-Day” Midway Wristbands for the price of one ($25) between 11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
UW-Madison Day – Wednesday, August 10th
Receive a voucher for $5 off a Midway “Ride-All-Day” Wristband with your donation of selected school supplies at any admission gate from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 10. Donations benefit the students of the Milwaukee Public Schools. Consult this list for needed school supplies.
Golden Guernsey Dairy Day – Thursday, August 11th
Receive $5 off a Midway “Ride-All-Day” Wristband Voucher with five caps or lids from any Golden Guernsey Dairy product. Caps must be redeemed at the Golden Guernsey Dairy tent located in Central Park on Thursday, August 11 from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. There is a limit of 1,000 vouchers available.
Patrick Cudahy Day – Friday, August 12th
Receive a voucher for $5 off a Midway “Ride-All-Day” Wristband (while supplies last) when you present any two Patrick Cudahy packages at the Patrick Cudahy tent located in Central Park on Friday, August 12 from 9:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. There is a limit of 1,000 vouchers available.

Free State Fair Tickets on Milwaukee Brewers Fair Fridays
Get a free ticket to the 2011 Wisconsin State Fair when you purchase a $13 Terrace Reserved ticket to a Friday Brewers game this season. This offer is available for purchase through July 31st, and several eligible games still remain.
Choose from the following remaining games:
- Friday, July 29th vs. Houston Astros, 7:10 p.m.
- Friday, August 12th vs. Pittsburgh Pirates, 7:10 p.m.
- Friday, August 26th vs. Chicago Cubs, 7:10 p.m

Wisconsin State Fair – 2011 Admission Promotions
The 2011 Wisconsin State Fair kicks off Thursday, August 4 and runs for 11 days through August 14. There are several opportunities for free or reduced admission if you plan ahead. The regular ticket prices for the 2011 Fair are as follows:
- Adult (12 & over) - $9
- Seniors (60 & over) & Disabled Persons – $6
- Youth (ages 6 – 11) – $5
- Children (5 & under) – FREE
Parking on the Fair grounds is $10. Free street parking is available in the neighborhoods surrounding State Fair Park, however it usually isn’t easy to find an open spot. You can typically find a lawn to park on for $5 or so within a couple blocks of an entrance. The largest concentration of lawns to park on is in the neighborhood west of the Fair grounds.

Advance Ticket Promotions

Discount Admission Promotions During the Fair
Hunger Task Force $2 Day – Thursday, August 4th
On opening day, August 4th, receive $2 admission with a donation of two non-perishable food items or a cash donation. This offer is valid from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. at designated locations outside the Fair gates.
DiscoverWisconsin.com Day – Friday, August 5th
On Friday August 5th, non-Wisconsin residents can receive two admission tickets for $10 by showing their out-of-state drivers license at the ticket windows.
Sprecher Brewing Company Day – Monday, August 8th
On Monday, August 8th, receive $6 admission from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. by presenting a coupon from Sprecher Brewing. The coupon can be found on the Sprecher website.
Kohl’s Family Value Day – Tuesday, August 9th
On Tuesday, August 9th, from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. adults will receive admission for the youth price of $5 (a $4 savings), and youth 11 and under will receive free admission.
U.S. Cellular $5 After 5:00 p.m. Day – Thursday, August 11th
After 5:00 p.m., on Thursday August 11th, receive admission for only $5 with the coupon available on the U.S. Cellular website.
Military and Veterans Day – Sunday, August 14th
Veterans and active duty military personnel will receive free Fair admission on Sunday, August 14th. Eligible individuals should present their Military ID at any admission gate and receive free admission to the Fair all day.

The 2011 Wisconsin State Fair is almost here, and we’re happy to announce another giveaway of tickets to the Fair this year. Each day for the next 10 days, we’ll be giving away a pair of free State Fair tickets!
