Summerfest Promotions for This Weekend
It is hard to believe that Summerfest 2010 is almost over. If you haven’t made it down to the festival yet, time is running out. The good news is that even though the gate price is higher on the weekend, there are still ways you can get in for free. Here are the details of what is happening this weekend:
Saturday, July 3rd
The headliner at the Marcus Amphitheater is Rush. Tickets are still available. Headlining on other stages are Counting Crows, Peter Frampton, and John Haitt.
Regular gate admission prices:
- Adult – $15
- Seniors (over age 60) and Children (3-10) – $3
From noon until 3pm (or while supplies last), it is CBS 58 Milwaukee/MDA Day. The first 1,500 patrons contributing $10 or more to the Muscular Dystrophy Association will receive one free admission ticket. Donations accepted at the Mid-Gate promotions tent.
Sunday, July 4th
The headliner at the Marcus Amphitheater on the final day of Summerfest is Carrie Underwood. Tickets are still available. Headlining on other stages are Danny Gokey, DEVO, and the Average White Band.
Regular gate admission prices:
- Adult – $15
- Seniors (over age 60) and Children (3-10) – $3
From noon until 3pm it is Summerfest “Free ’till Three Day”. All patrons attending Summerfest on the final Sunday between Noon and 3:00 pm will receive free admission compliments of Summerfest!

Summerfest Promotions for Friday, July 2nd
From 12:00 noon until to 3:00 pm today at Summerfest is Malt-o-Meal Day. The first 1,500 patrons will receive one free admission ticket when presenting an original receipt from any Wisconsin grocer that specifies the purchase of any two Malt-O-Meal Bag Cereals 10 oz. or larger. Receipt must be dated between June 24 and July 2, 2010.
Headlining the Marcus Amphitheater is American Idols Live!. As we wrote about yesterday, Buy One Get One Free tickets are available for the show. Headlining on other stages are The Scorpions, N.E.R.D, the Boogie Men, YES, and O.A.R.

American Idols Live at Summerfest – Buy One Get One Free
Summerfest has announced on their Facebook page that tickets for Friday night’s American Idols Live! show are now available for Buy One Get One Free. Tickets can be purchased from Ticketmaster or the Marcus Amphitheater box office.
Appearing on the American Idols Live Tour are the top 10 finalists from this season’s American Idol - Aaron Kelly, Andrew Garcia, Casey James, Crystal Bowersox, Didi Benami, Katie Stevens, Michael Lynche, Siobhan Magnus, Tim Urban, and of course winner Lee DeWyze.

Summerfest Promotions for Thursday, July 1st
From 12:00 noon until to 3:00 pm today at Summerfest is Northwestern Mutual “Make a Child Smile Day”. The first 1,500 patrons who donate any new, indoor children’s toy, art supplies or children’s G or PG rated DVD movie with a $5.00 minimum value will receive one free admission ticket.
It is also H.O.G. Day at Summerfest. From 12:00 noon until to 3:00 pm, members of H.O.G. (Harley Owners Group will receive one free admission ticket when presenting a valid H.O.G. card at the tent located on the northwest corner of Chicago Street and Harbor Drive. One admission per card.
The headliner at the Marcus Amphitheater is Santana with Steve Winwood as the opening act. Tickets are still available. Headlining on other stages are the B-52s, Joan Jett and The Blackhearts, The Offspring, and The Roots.

Summerfest Promotions for Wednesday, June 30th
Today is Klement’s Day and Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Show Your Smile Day at Summerfest.
From 12:00 noon until to 3:00 pm, the first 1,500 patrons will receive one free admission ticket at the Summerfest Mid-Gate promotions tent when they provide a Klement’s product label (8oz or larger) and a non-perishable food item.
Festival visitors who arrive at the Summerfest Mid-Gate between 4:00 and 7:00 pm wearing a shirt with the “Show Your Smile” iron-on and present the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel coupon will receive $7 off their $15 admission. Patrons who present only the coupon between 4:00 and 7:00 pm, but are not wearing the special “Show Your Smile” iron-on will receive $5 off their $15 admission compliments of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Both the coupon and the “Show Your Smile” iron-on were available in the Sunday June 20th, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
For Summerfest visitors entering the grounds starting at 5:00 P.M., Hooters will be giving away 5,000 Hooters Summerfest Can Koozies.
The headliner at the Marcus Amphitheater is Usher. Tickets are still available. Headlining on other stages are The Moody Blues, Puddle of Mudd, and Eddie Butts.

Summerfest Promotions for Tuesday, June 29th
Today at Summerfest, it is Kapco 2 Buck Tuesday. From 12:00 noon until to 6:30 pm, admission is only $2, courtesy of Kapco Metal Stamping.
As we wrote about yesterday, free tickets to Lynyrd Skynyrd and .38 Special at the Marcus Amphitheater, will be available today from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm. Headlining on other stages are Cypress Hill, Weird Al Yankovic, Kellie Pickler, and Papa Roach.

Free Tickets to Lynyrd Skynyrd and .38 Special at Summerfest
Summerfest announced on their Facebook page this evening that they will be giving away free tickets to Tuesday night’s Lynyrd Skynyrd and .38 Special show at the Marcus Amphitheater. To get the free tickets, you need to print out the announcement from Facebook and bring it to the Social Media Promotion Redemption tent located outside the South Gate near the Box Office. The tickets will only be distributed between 12:00 noon and 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 29th. There is a limit of 2 free tickets per person.
