And if you think the same way we do, we’ve got good news – Summerfest always gives patrons plenty of opportunities to get in free. In fact, there are Summerfest free admission promotions every day of this year’s festival.

Summerfest Admission Prices
If you aren’t able to take advantage of a Summerfest free admission promotion, tickets can be purchased at the gate or online with no service fees. Regular admission prices to Summerfest 2013 are as follows:
- Adult Weekday Admission Ticket (Tuesday – Friday, noon – 4 p.m.) – $10
- Adult General Admission Ticket (valid any time) – $17
- Seniors (over age 60) – $5 at all times
- Children (ages 3-10 when accompanied by an adult) – $5 at all times
- Children (2 and under) – Free
If you’re planning to visit Summerfest three times, you can save $12 off night and weekend rates by purchasing a three day pass for $39.
Summerfest Free Admission Promotions 2013
According to Summerfest.com, the following promotions allow you to get free or discounted admission to Summerfest. (All exchanges, unless otherwise stated, will take place at the Mid-Gate Promotions Booth located across the street from the Summerfest Mid-Gate, at Harbor Drive and Chicago Street.)
Wednesday, June 26 – Noon to 3 p.m. – Johnson Controls Stomp Out Hunger Day with FOX 6
All patrons arriving between Noon and 3 p.m. who donate three non-perishable food items will receive one free Summerfest admission ticket. All donations to benefit the Hunger Task Force.
Thursday, June 27 – Noon to 3 p.m. – Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Show Your Smile Day
All patrons that present the coupon found in the Sunday, June 23 edition of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel will receive free Summerfest admission with the purchase of a Summerfest admission ($10) between noon and 3 p.m.
Friday, June 28 – Noon to 3 p.m. – Klement’s Sausage Day
The first 1,500 patrons presenting a Klement’s product label (8oz or larger) and a non-perishable food item will receive one free admission ticket.
Friday, June 28 – Noon to 4 p.m. – Direct Supply Senior Fest Day with Me-TV
All patrons age 60 and older will receive free admission.
Saturday, June 29 – Noon to 3 p.m. – Goodwill Industries Day
The first 1,500 patrons who make a donation to a Goodwill Store & Donation Center between June 1 – 29 and bring in their original donation receipt will receive one free admission ticket. One admission ticket per person for each donation receipt.
Sunday, June 30 – Noon to 3 p.m. – Kohl’s Family Day
The first 2,500 patrons who donate three non-perishable food items for kids will receive one free admission ticket. Suggested items include peanut butter, canned fruit and macaroni and cheese. All donations to benefit Hunger Task Force.
Tuesday, July 2 – Noon to 3 p.m. – Sentry Foods and Dean’s Milk & Ice Cream Children’s Fest Day with Today’s TMJ4
All patrons arriving between Noon and 3 p.m. will be admitted free. Select food vendors will offer discounts on food & beverage items.
Wednesday, July 3 – Noon to 3 p.m. – Mountain Dew Day
The first 2,500 patrons that present a specially marked Summerfest Mountain Dew can will receive free admission.
Thursday, July 4 – Noon to Midnight – Military Appreciation Day
Active-duty military personnel as well as veterans will receive free admission for themselves and up to four family members. Valid military ID requiried.
Thursday, July 4 – Noon to 3 p.m. – H.O.G. Day at Summerfest
Receive one free admission ticket when presenting a valid H.O.G. (Harley Owners Group) card. One admission per card.
Friday, July 5 – Noon to 3 p.m. – Malt-o-Meal Day
The first 1,500 patrons will receive one free admission ticket when presenting an original receipt from any Wisconsin grocer that specifies the purchase of any two Malt-O-Meal Bag Cereals 10 oz. or larger. Receipt must be dated between June 26 and July 6.
Saturday, July 6 – Noon to 3 p.m. – Northwestern Mutual “Make a Child Smile Day”
The first 1,500 patrons who donate any new or gently used children’s books ($10 minimum value) will receive one free admission ticket.
Sunday, July 7 – Noon to 3 p.m. – Summerfest Fan Appreciation Day
All patrons attending Summerfest on the final Sunday between Noon and 3 p.m. will receive free admission compliments of Summerfest!

For $20, Summerfest attendees can buy a Weekday Value Pass which offers free admission every single weekday of the festival. Oh yeah…it also includes FREE PARKING! The total value of this pass is $210.
Of course there is some fine print to the offer. Free admission with the pass is available between noon and 4 p.m. Tuesday – Friday (the festival is closed on Monday). Free parking is available between noon and 1 p.m. on the same days.
If only going to Summerfest during the week isn’t your style, they also have an 11-day Summerfest Power Pass which gives pass-holders free admission every day of the festival. The Power Pass costs $60 ($187 value) and is available for purchase at Pick ‘n Save stores through May 31.

A drink in your hand, the summer heat, and music all around you… ahhhh!
Although I prefer to get in to Summerfest for free, there are occasionally situations when you need to buy an admission ticket.
Through May 4, Summerfest general admission tickets are on sale for $15 on Summerfest.com. The prices go up $1 from May 5 – June 2. After June 2, Summerfest tickets are full price – $17.
If you visit Summerfest multiple times and aren’t able to take advantage of a free admission promotion, the 3-Day Pass is a good option. Priced at $39, the 3-Day Pass offers a savings of $12 off gate prices.
