Neumann Development’s Energy Producing Home

Neumann Developments

In lieu of an energy savings tip this week, we’re sharing an interesting energy savings story.  In this year’s Parade of Homes, Nuemann Development is featuring The Energy Producing Home, which is designed to produce more energy than it consumes.  According to the brochure, there are very few net zero energy homes being constructed in the United States, so this concept is quite new.  If you’d like to learn more about this home, check out The Energy Producing Home website.

For those planning to see The Energy Producing Home at the Parade of Homes, be sure to read our previous post for information on discounted Parade of Homes tickets and free admission offers.

Also, if you are interested in applying some of these energy saving concepts to your own home, it may be possible to work with Nuemann Developments to install solar electric capabilities or other renewable technologies in your existing home.  According to the Neumann Developments Parade of Homes brochure:

Newest Project at Neumann Developments, Inc.

Given the recent slowdown in housing, Neumann Developments, Inc. is not currently developing new subdivisions. However, with our experience and knowledge gained through building the Energy Producing Home, we have started installing renewable technologies in new homes, existing homes, schools, churches, and corporate buildings. We specialize in solar electric (PV) installations, but would also consider solar hot water, geothermal, or wind energy applications. For more information about Neumann Developments, Inc.’s latest projects, please contact Matt Neumann at (262) 542-9200.
