Fellow fathers would probably agree that the most enjoyable gift is spending time with your children. I don’t need a tie or socks (please), but I do appreciate hanging out with my kids and having fun.

Several Milwaukee-area businesses are stepping up again this year and offering Father’s Day freebies for dads.  If your dad is like me and appreciates a good deal, make sure to take advantage of one of these special freebies for Father’s Day around town.

Milwaukee-Area Father’s Day Freebies

The Betty Brinn Children’s Museum is offering free admission for dads from noon until 5 p.m.  There are craft activities scheduled for kids to make their dad a special gift.

Free breakfast for dads at George Webb Restaurants on Sunday! Chose from three breakfast entrees with the purchase of another breakfast of equal or greater value.

Fun-loving dads and kids will enjoy the Father’s Day offer from Laser Tag Adventure. Dads play free on Sunday when accompanied by a paying child.

The Milwaukee Art Museum is celebrating their 125th birthday by offering free admission for everyone (not just dads) on Saturday and Sunday!

Dads can golf for free at several Milwaukee County Parks golf courses after 1 p.m. on Sunday. Purchase a 9 or 18-hole round and single cart and dad rides and golfs with you for free.  Participating courses are:  Brown Deer Park, Currie Park, Dretzka Park, Grant Park, Greenfield Park, Hansen Park, Lincoln Park, Oakwood Park, Warnimont Park and Whitnall Park.  Click the link above to print the coupon necessary for this offer.

The Milwaukee County Zoo offers free admission for dads from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.  You can get a free ride on the Penzeys Spices Carousel with the purchase of a Chinet product at Pick ‘n Save. Click the link above for more details.

Free admission for all dads at the Milwaukee Public Museum on Sunday. Special activities include a scavenger hunt and a coloring contest (for the kids, not for dad).

Old World Wisconsin offers free admission for dads on Sunday.

Polish Fest is offering free admission to all dads of all ages from 4 - 6 p.m. when accompanied by their children of all ages.

Dads get free admission to The Springs Water Park at Country Springs Hotel June 14-16 when accompanied by a paid admission.

Milwaukee Area Mother’s Day Freebies

If you are a conscientious spender, there is a good chance you learned your frugality from your mom. That was certainly the case for me!

If your mom appreciates a good deal, make sure to treat her to one of these Mother’s Day freebies around the Milwaukee area.

Betty Brinn Children’s Museum

Betty Brinn Children’s Museum is offering free admission to moms this Sunday.  The museum is open from noon until 5 p.m.  Admission for everyone else in your party is $8 ($7 for seniors, and free for kids ages one and under). Children will have the opportunity to create a special art project for their mom.

Grand Geneva Golf

Moms will receive a free round of golf at Grand Geneva on Saturday and Sunday of Mother’s Day weekend with the purchase of a regular priced adult round of golf.

Laser Tag Adventure

If you have a fun-loving mom, bring her to Laser Tag Adventure on Sunday for free laser tag! All moms will play free when accompanied by their paying child.

Milwaukee Public Museum

All moms receive free admission to the Milwaukee Public Museum on Mother’s Day. The museum offers a full slate of activities for moms including crafts, drawings for prizes and special giveaways.  See the Milwaukee Public Museum website for more details.

Milwaukee County Parks Golf Courses

Purchase a 9 or 18-hole round of golf and a single rider cart after 1:00 p.m. on Saturday or Sunday, and mom golfs and rides for free. Milwaukee County Zoo

All moms will receive free admission to the Milwaukee County Zoo on Mother’s Day.  Non-moms that are Milwaukee County residents will receive $1.75 off  regular admission prices. The zoo is open from 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. on Sunday.  Check out the zoo website for more information on Mother’s Day events.

Old World Wisconsin

Admission to Old World Wisconsin is free for moms on Mother’s Day. If you’re looking for a Mother’s Day brunch, check out the Old World Wisconsin website for more information about their brunch buffet. Old World Wisconsin is open from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Free Admission to the Boerner Botanical Gardens on Friday

boerner botanical gardensFriday, May 10 is National Public Gardens Day and visitors to the Boerner Botanical Gardens in Hales Corners can receive free admission.

Early May is one of the most popular times to visit the gardens with the tulips and flowering crab trees in full bloom.

To obtain free admission to the gardens, fill out the registration form on the Better Homes and Gardens website  After registering, you can print out up to 10 passes for everyone in your group.

The Boerner Botanical Gardens, are located within Whitnall Park in Hales Corners.  Regular admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children.  Visit the Friends of Boerner Botanical Gardens website for more information about the gardens.
