Member Swap Day: Free Admission for Museum Members
Sunday, December 12th is Member Swap Day at the Milwaukee Art Museum, Discovery World, and the Betty Brinn Children’s Museum. Members of any of the three museums will get free reciprocal admission to the other museums.
To participate, members should go to the museum where they hold their membership to get an all-access wristband, which will grant them free admission to the other museums.
The event takes place between the hours of 10:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. The three participating museums will all have special membership offers available during the event to encourage you to join. More information is available on the Discovery World website.
Free Admission to the Milwaukee Art Museum for Veterans
The Milwaukee Art Museum is honoring those who have served our country in the armed forces by offering free admission to veterans on Saturday November 6th and on Veterans Day, Thursday November 11th. The Art Museum is open 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturday and 10:00 am to 8:00 pm on Thursday. The free admission announcement was made on the Art Museum’s Facebook page.
The Art Museum joins the Harley-Davidson Museum and the Milwaukee Admirals in thanking veterans this weekend. The Harley Museum is offering free admission to veterans and active military personnel (and their families) all weekend long, and the Admirals are offering free admission to veterans and active military personnel for Friday night’s game against the Peoria Rivermen.
Target Free First Thursdays at the Milwaukee Art Museum
Starting September 2, 2010, the Milwaukee Art Museum will be free on the first Thursday of every month courtesy of Target stores. Target Free First Thursdays will grant free admission to all visitors to the Museum between 10:00 A.M. and 8:00 P.M. on the first Thursday of the month. It was previously announced that the Museum was discontinuing their free admission for Milwaukee County residents on Wednesdays. Although the new program will take place once a month instead of weekly, it is open to everyone, not just residents of Milwaukee County. 2011 Entertainment Book Available Now!
The 2011 Entertainment Book has just been released! The Entertainment Book is one of the most popular coupon books in the Milwaukee area.
