2012 Fish Fry & A Flick at Discovery World

The schedule for the 2012 season of Point Beer’s Fish Fry & A Flick has been released.  The free outdoor movie series takes place on Friday evenings during August and September at Discovery World on Milwaukee’s lakefront.

The 2012 schedule of movies is as follows:

  • August 10 – Zoolander
  • August 17 – Grease (sing-a-long)
  •  August 24 – Pulp Fiction
  •  August 31 – The Wizard of Oz (set to Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon)
  • September 7 – Major League

The fish fry will be provided again this year by Bartolotta’s, and other food will be available from local food trucks.  More information about the event will be available on the Point Fish Fry & A Flick website later this summer. 

Member Swap Day: Free Admission for Museum Members on Sunday, May 20

Sunday, May 20 is Member Swap Day at the Betty Brinn Children’s Museum, Discovery World, the Milwaukee Art Museum, and the Milwaukee Public Museum.  If you are a members of any of the four museums, you will get free reciprocal admission to the other museums!

To participate, museum members should present their membership card at any of the museums they wish to visit.

The event takes place between the hours of 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. The participating museums may have special membership offers available during the event to encourage you to join.  More information is available on the Discovery World website.

Free Discovery World Admission on Saturday, November 5th

Receive free admission to Discovery World on Saturday, November 5th!  Saturday is Time Warner Cable Community Day at Discovery World, and all visitors will receive free admission from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. 

Time Warner is also sponsoring STEMfest on Saturday, where visitors can view special exhibits highlighting Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.
