Add Your Number to the Wisconsin No Call List by November 30th
November 30th is the quarterly deadline to put your phone number on the Wisconsin No Call List. By adding your number to the list by the deadline, you’ll be on the list starting January 1, 2012. If you signed up for the list in the past, you might want to do it again just to make sure you’re covered. Landline and cell phone numbers can be added to the list. Once your name goes on the list, it stays there for a period of two years.
Adding your phone numbers to the No Call List will prevent most telemarketers from calling, but it won’t stop all calls. Under the current law, non-profit organizations, political candidates, and elected officials are all allowed to solicit you even if you are on the No Call List.
To ensure that your numbers are on the do not call list, you can sign up for free a couple of different ways:
- Visiting the Wisconsin No Call List website.
- Calling (866) 9NO-CALL (866-966-2255).
You can sign up for the No Call List at anytime. If you miss the November 30th deadline, simply sign up before the next deadline on February 28, 2012, and you’ll be added to the next quarterly release of the No Call List on April 1, 2012.
