Free Admission Promotions to Summerfest 2010

Summerfest 2010 is amost here. If you’re planning to check out some of the best entertainment and food around, it pays to plan ahead to get free admission to the festival. As usual, Summerfest has partnered with several Milwaukee area companies to provide free or discounted admission every day of the festival. First let’s take a look at the standard ticket price to Summerfest.
Admission to Summerfest 2010 is as follows:
- Adult (over age 10) gate weekday ticket from (Noon to 4pm) - $8
- Adult (over age 10) gate weekday evening ticket (after 4pm) - $15
- Adult (over age 10) gate weekend ticket - $15
- Seniors (over age 60) - $3
- Children (ages 3-10 when accompanied by an adult) - $3
- Children (2 and under) - Free
If you’re planning to visit Summerfest three times, you can save $12 off night and weekend rates by purchasing a three day pass for $33.
However, the best way to get into Summerfest is for FREE! According to Summerfest.com, the following promotions allow you to get free or discounted admission to Summerfest:
Thursday, June 24th - Noon to 3pm - Johnson Controls Stomp Out Hunger Day with FOX 6
- All patrons arriving between Noon and 3:00 pm who donate three non-perishable food items will receive one free admission ticket. Donations will be accepted at the Mid-Gate promotions tent as well as the North Gate. All donations to benefit the Hunger Task Force.
Thursday, June 24th - 5pm to 7pm - Miller High Life – Give a Veteran a Piece of the High Life.
- The first 2,000 patrons, 21 and older, arriving between 5:00 and 7:00 pm who bring six Miller High Life or Miller High Life Light bottle caps will receive one free admission ticket. Donations will be accepted at the Mid-Gate promotions tent.
Friday, June 25th - Noon to 3pm - Cedar Crest “Flip your Lid at Summerfest” Day
- The first 1,500 patrons will receive one free admission ticket at the Mid-Gate promotions tent when they turn in a lid and receipt dated June 1 - June 25, for the purchase of one 48 oz. Cedar Crest ice cream.
Saturday, June 26th - Noon to 3pm - Goodwill Industries Day
- The first 1,500 patrons who make a donation to a Goodwill Store & Donation Center between June 1 - June 26, 2010 and bring in their original donation receipt, will receive one free admission ticket. One admission ticket per person for each donation receipt. Only original receipts received at a Goodwill Store & Donation Center dated June 1 - June 26, 2010 will be accepted.
Sunday, June 27th - Noon to 3pm - Jockey Family Day
- The first 1,000 patrons contributing $10 or more to the Debra Steigerwaldt Waller Foundation will receive one free Summerfest admission ticket and a Jockey Being Family Bear. Donations will be accepted at the Mid-Gate promotions tent.
Sunday, June 27th - Noon to 3pm - Scout Day
- All Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts (of Wisconsin Southeast) in uniform will receive one free admission ticket at the South Gate promotion booth.
Monday, June 28th - Noon to 3pm - Sentry Foods and Dean’s Milk & Ice Cream Children’s Fest Day with Today’s TMJ4
- All patrons arriving between Noon and 3:00 pm will be admitted free. Spend a fun-filled day with the family enjoying free Children’s Fest activities including the Map of Fun and Family Ticket Package giveaway contest. Select food vendors will offer discounts on food & beverage items.
Tuesday, June 29th - Noon to 6:30pm - Kapco’s 2 Buck Tuesday
- All patrons attending Summerfest on Tuesday, June 29th between Noon and 6:30 pm can purchase an admission ticket for only $2 compliments of Kapco! Tickets can also be purchased online.
Wednesday, June 30th - Noon to 3pm - Klement’s Day
- The first 1,500 patrons will receive one free admission ticket at the Summerfest Mid-Gate promotions tent when they provide a Klement’s product label (8oz or larger) and a non-perishable food item.
Wednesday, June 30th - 4pm to 7pm - Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Show Your Smile Day
- All patrons who arrive at the Summerfest Mid-Gate between 4:00 and 7:00 pm wearing a shirt with the “Show Your Smile” iron-on and present the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel coupon will receive $7 off their $15 admission. Patrons who present only the coupon between 4:00 and 7:00 pm, but are not wearing the special “Show Your Smile” iron-on will receive $5 off their $15 admission compliments of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Both the coupon and the “Show Your Smile” iron-on are available in the Sunday June 20th, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Thursday, July 1st - Noon to 3pm - Northwestern Mutual “Make a Child Smile Day”
- The first 1,500 patrons who donate any new, indoor children’s toy, art supplies or children’s G or PG rated DVD movie with a $5.00 minimum value will receive one (1) free admission ticket. All items collected will be used throughout the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin system. (All items must be new with original tags attached and/or original packaging).
Thursday, July 1st - Noon to 3pm - H.O.G. Day at Summerfest
- Receive one free admission ticket when presenting a valid H.O.G.® (Harley Owners Group®) card at the tent located on the northwest corner of Chicago Street and Harbor Drive. One admission per card.
Friday, July 2nd - Noon to 3pm - Malt-o-Meal Day
- The first 1,500 patrons will receive one free admission ticket when presenting an original receipt from any Wisconsin grocer that specifies the purchase of any two Malt-O-Meal Bag Cereals 10 oz. or larger. Receipt must be dated between June 24 and July 2, 2010.
Saturday, July 3rd - Noon to 3pm - CBS 58 Milwaukee/MDA Day
- The first 1,500 patrons contributing $10 or more to the Muscular Dystrophy Association will receive one free admission ticket. Donations accepted at the Mid-Gate promotions tent.
Sunday, July 4th - Noon to 3pm - Summerfest “Free ’till Three Day”
- All patrons attending Summerfest on the final Sunday between Noon and 3:00 pm will receive free admission compliments of Summerfest!

We want to come down for the JUly 4th free time from 12-3 pm . How do we do that. Do we need to stand in line to get in?

Kim - Just show up at Summerfest anytime before 3:00 to get in free on the 4th! You might need to wait in line, but the lines usually move pretty quickly.

For some reason, I missed the promotion for the Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons Plus Festa Italiana admission for $19. Do you know if they will have any more tickets available at that price before 7/18? The prices they want now are beyond my price and my wife would like to go. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.
