Milwaukee Coupon Policies – Whole Foods and Outpost Natural Foods
Two of Milwaukee’s biggest sources for organic and natural foods are Whole Foods and Outpost Natural Foods. In this post, we’ll cover the coupon policies at the Milwaukee area Whole Foods and Outpost Natural Foods stores.
Over the past several years, organic and natural foods have become more popular and accessible than ever before. There are environmental and health benefits that are associated with organic foods, however these grocery items usually come with a premium price tag. If you enjoy purchasing organic and natural foods, coupons can be a great way to help save money.
In Milwaukee, Whole Foods is located on Prospect Avenue, on Milwaukee’s East Side. Outpost Natural Foods has locations in Wauwatosa, Bay View, and on E. Capitol Drive in Milwaukee. All manufacturer’s coupons are accepted at both Whole Foods and Outpost. This means that both manufacturer’s coupons found in coupon inserts as well as valid internet coupons are accepted.
When contacted about the Outpost’s coupon policy, the only guideline that was given was that all manufacturer’s coupons are accepted as noted above. Whole Foods also does not have a formal, company-wide coupon policy. Each store nationwide has its own policies when dealing with coupons. There are two main coupon guidelines for the Milwaukee Whole Foods store:
- All manufacturer’s coupons, as well as Whole Foods store coupons, are accepted.
- No overage can be given for coupons. For example, if an item costs $1 and you have both a store and manufacturer’s coupon for $.75 off each, you may only use one of those coupons since using both would exceed the value of the item.
It is important to remember when shopping at a store that has no formal coupon policy (such as Whole Foods and Outpost Natural Foods), management ultimately decides what coupons will and will not be accepted. Just because one store allows something with its coupon policy does not mean that other stores are required to do the same. When in doubt about a coupon policy, always ask customer service before getting in the checkout line. It will save you, other shoppers, and the store a lot of time and frustration.
Milwaukee Area Earth Day Freebies
Many retailers will use any opportunity to promote themselves through free publicity and giveaways, especially in this economy. We have seen all kinds of freebies on non-traditional holidays recently – election day, tax day, and now Earth Day. The following offers are available from national retailers with a presence in the Milwaukee area:
- Whole Foods is giving away free reusable lunch bags through April 26th. Present this coupon to get your free bag.
- The Disney Store will give you a free Disney water bottle if you bring in 3 empty plastic bottles.
- Walgreens is giving away free reusable shopping bags today. To get yours, present this coupon to get your free bag & other 15-20% off other items in the store.
In addition to those listed above, there have been rumors on the internet about free coffee at Starbucks today if you bring in your own coffee mug. We spoke with a barista at our closest Starbucks and she said that there was no official promotion today, but she would give us free coffee if we brought in our own mug. If you want to try this, we suggest calling ahead first!
If you know of any giveaways around town that we missed, leave a comment and let us know.
