The Kids Bowl Free program is back again for 2011.  To celebrate another year of the program, the Kids Bowl Free bus tour makes to a stop in Milwaukee today at Olympic Lanes in Milwaukee.  The bus will be at Olympic Lanes (4040 S 27th St.) from 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.  Stop by to have your kids bowl a few FREE games, register for the 2011 Kids Bowl Free Summer Bowling Program and get a photo with the Kids Bowl Free Bowling Bus.

Since we first wrote about this program a couple of years ago, more and more bowling centers have been added.  This year there are 12 participating bowling centers in Southeastern Wisconsin, and dozens throughout the state.

As was the case last year, participants registered in the program get coupons emailed to them each week for two free games of bowling every day that week.  The participation dates vary from center to center, but are generally from May through August.  If adult family members would also like to bowl, a Family Pass can be purchased for $24.95.  The Family Pass allows up to four adults to bowl two games a day too.

The following Milwaukee area bowling centers are participating in 2011:

  • Alpine Lanes, Muskego
  • Brown Deer Lanes, Milwaukee
  • Classic Lanes, Oak Creek
  • Dodge Entertainment Center, Horicon
  • Guttormsen Recreation Center, Kenosha
  • King Pin Bowl & Ale House, West Bend
  • Lighthouse Lanes, West Bend
  • Old Settlers, Union Grove
  • Olympic Lanes, Milwaukee
  • Root River Center, Franklin
  • Towne & Country Lanes, Burlington
  • Village Bowl, Menomonee Falls

All of the details of the program can be found on the KidsBowlFree.com website.  Bowling shoe rental is not included.  If you plan taking full advantage of this program, it might make sense to buy your own bowling shoes.

Olympic Lanes on S. 27th Street in Milwaukee is the only area bowling center currently listed as participating in the Kids Bowl Free program. There are a total of twelve participating bowling centers in Wisconsin including Dream Lanes in Madison and Ashwaubenon Bowling Alley in Green Bay. The website says that if your local bowling center isn’t participating to ask them to contact Kids Bowl Free to learn more about joining the program.

flickr-emrankFree bowling all summer long?  It sounds too good to be true, doesn’t it?  Well…it is true.  Olympic Lanes on S. 27th Street in Milwaukee is participating in a national summer bowling program called Kids Bowl Free.  Registered members of the program get vouchers for 2 free games of bowling every day from May 1, 2009 through August 31, 2009.  The offer is extended to adults as well, who can also bowl 2 games a day if they purchase a Family Pass for $23.95.  What a deal this is!

Even if you only plan on bowling a few times this summer, you’ll still save a lot of money by buying the Family Pass, or by signing the kids up for free.  All of the details of the program can be found on the KidsBowlFree.com website.  The only restriction is that bowling shoes are not included.  Rental is available for $2.50 per person.  If you plan taking full advantage of this program, you’ll probably want to buy your own bowling shoes.

Olympic Lanes is the only Milwaukee area bowling center currently listed as participating in the Kids Bowl Free program.
