Tonight’s Fish Fry & a Flick – Caddy Shack
Are you looking for a fun way to spend what could be one of the last warm Friday evenings of 2009? The Fish Fry & a Flick summer movie series at Discovery World on Milwaukee’s lakefront is featuring Caddy Shack this week. The movie is free, and food is available from Bartolotta’s. In addition to the Fish Fry, Bartolotta’s offers lobster dinners, brats, chicken tenders, Caesar salads, and other choices. Dinner service starts at 6:00, and the movie starts at dusk. Limited free parking is available with the purchase of a fish fry!

A unique Summertime Friday evening event kicks off tonight at Discovery World on Milwaukee’s lakefront. Free outdoor movies will be shown on Friday nights as a part of the Fish Fry & a Flick promotion. Bartolotta’s is providing the Fish Fry for just $9.95. They are also offering lobster dinners, brats, chicken tenders, Caesar salads, and other choices. In addition to the movie and dinner, there will be several local Milwaukee retailers selling their products outside in the retail bazaar. You can also practice your golf swing by hitting floating golf balls into Lake Michigan. Limited free parking is available with the purchase of a fish fry!
The schedule of movies is as follows:
- July 10th – The Big Lebowski & King Pin
- July 24th – Animal House
- August 14th – Pulp Fiction
- August 21st – Easy Rider & Mad Max
- August 28th – Old School
- September 4th – Wizard of Oz (with Dark Side of the Moon)
- September 11th – Caddy Shack
- September 18th – Night of the Living Dead in 3D
The outdoor shopping bazaar opens at 5:30, dinner service starts at 6:00, and the movie starts at dusk.
The organizers of this event stress that children are welcome to come for dinner, but the movies are R rated, and appropriate for adults. If you’re looking for an outdoor movie event for the family, check out Fair Flicks at State Fair Park, which also starts tonight.
