Free Summerfest Tickets at American Idol Viewing Event
Last week Summerfest announced in a video posted on their website that they would be giving away 100,000 free tickets for Summerfest 2011. Details of the ticket giveaways were not included in the video. We have learned that the first giveaway will happen tonight at an American Idol viewing party at Marcus Majestic Cinema in Brookfield.
The viewing party is being sponsored by Summerfest to support Naima Adedapo, the Summerfest employee that is among the finalists on this season of American Idol. The event will be held in the CineDine Theater and the adjacent lounge, Take5 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. Admission is free and food and beverage will be available for purchase. Seating is limited to the first 200 people on a first come, first served basis. Everyone in attendance ages 13 and over will receive a free Commemorative Opening Day Summerfest Ticket, while those under 13 will receive a free KAPCO Kid’s Ticket.
Danny Gokey at Turner Hall + Free CD
If you ever wanted to get up close and personal with Danny Gokey, here is your chance. Milwaukee’s favorite American Idol contestant will be performing at his Milwaukee CD launch party at 7:00 pm. on Saturday, March 6th at the Turner Hall Ballroom. $12 admission includes a copy of his debut CD, My Best Days. After the show, Danny will stick around to sign copies of the new CD.
Tickets are not available in advance and must be purchased the day of the show. Starting at 5:30 pm, fans can buy their ticket and pick up their CD at Turner Hall. More information can be found on the Pabst Theater/Turner Hall website.
If you are unable to make it to the show or don’t want to wait until Saturday to get Danny’s new CD, it goes on sale tomorrow, Tuesday March 2, 2010. It is available on Amazon.com for only $8.98.
Free Summerfest Tickets for Danny Gokey Fans
There is a lot of buzz going on around town after Wednesday night’s announcement of the outcome of this week’s American Idol voting. As a result of being one of the top 3 finalists on the show, Danny Gokey is home in Milwaukee today for Danny Gokey Day.
There is a full schedule of events that will be taking place, including a parade in his honor, a mini-concert at the Harley-Davidson Roadhouse at Summerfest, and Danny throwing out the first pitch and singing the national anthem at the Brewers Cubs game. As a part of the concert event at the Harley-Davidson Roadhouse at Summerfest, all fans in attendance will receive a free Summerfest ticket as they leave the Summerfest grounds! Admission and parking for this event are free. Full details can be found on the Summerfest website.
American Idols Live! 2009 Bradley Center Presale Password
The American Idol people sure know how to time things. Just as Idol mania is hitting its peak (at least in Milwaukee), tickets for one of the most anticipated shows of the summer will be going on sale. The Americal Idols Live! 2009 Tour is coming to the Bradley Center on August 28th. Tickets to the show will go on sale to the general public on Saturday, but we have a special presale code so you can get your tickets early. The presale starts Friday morning, May 8th at 10:00 A.M. The pre-sale password and Ticketmaster can be accessed by clicking here. Please note that if you are checking the Ticketmaster site before the presale begins, you won’t see the area to purchase tickets for this presale. The presale will show as available at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday.
The American Idols Live! 2009 show will feature the top 10 finalists on the show – Adam Lambert, Allison Iraheta, Anoop Desai, Kris Allen, Lil Rounds, Matt Giraud, Megan Joy, Michael Sarver, and Scott MacIntyre, and of course Milwaukee’s Danny Gokey.
The presale runs until 10:00 P.M. on Friday. If you miss out on the presale, tickets go on sale to the general public at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 9th.
