Groupon Launches in Milwaukee
The money saving website Groupon recently launched in the Milwaukee market offering residents of our area great daily deals at local businesses. Each morning, Groupon announces the deal for the day. If enough people sign up for the offer, then it becomes available for everyone to purchase. For example, recently Groupon offered a $50 gift certificate to the Milwaukee Chophouse for $20. In order for the deal to go live, 25 people needed to sign up. In this case, the deal was so popular that 462 people ended up buying the discounted gift certificates. Today’s deal is a $15 gift certificate to the Milwaukee Brat House for $7. Other recent Groupon offers have included:
- $35 for 10 Yoga Classes and Personal Training at Invivo Wellness ($120 Value)
- $5 for a $10 gift certificate to Pizza Shuttle
- $8 for 2 tickets to the Pabst Mansion ($18 Value)
- $8 for a hand car wash, including interior cleaning at Tender Car Auto Detailing
One nice thing about Groupon is that unlike the 1/2 price radio station deals that we write about each week, there are no service fees to make Groupon purchases. If a deal costs $10, you only pay $10.
