flickr - JAGwiredAlthough Halloween is about four weeks away, retailers in Milwaukee are advertising their specials on pumpkins and other Halloween decorations. We scanned the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel this morning for sales on pumpkins in the Milwaukee area. Here are a few deals we found:

  • Aldi is advertising fresh pumpkins for $1.99 each
  • Stein Gardens and Gifts is advertising carving pumpkins for $3.99 each or 3/$10.
  • Joann Fabric and Craft Stores has 50% off on Funkins Carvable Pumpkins. The pumpkins are regularly $6.99 to $24.99, so the sale prices are $3.49 to $12.49 each.
  • Michaels is also advertising 50% off craft pumpkins but the regular or sale prices aren’t listed. Michaels is promoting The Great Pumpkin Event on Saturday, October 10th from 10am to 1pm. Bring your family to Michaels and create your own craft pumpkin for only $5. More details can be found on Michaels website.

  2. I just picked up a couple of really nice pumpkins at Wal-Mart yesterday for $4 each. They are really big. Granted, Wal-Mart doesn’t have the ambiance of a nice pumpkin farm, but the price is right! Our family usually goes to Swan’s Pumpkin Farm in Racine County and also the Elegant Farmer in Mukwonago. We like to participate in their fun Halloween activities and then go home and carve our pumpkins from Walmart!
