Free Admission to Betty Brinn Children’s Museum on Thursday 5/21
On Thursday night, admission to the Betty Brinn Children’s Museum is free as a part of their WaterStone Bank & FOX 6 Neighborhood Nights program. From 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on May 21st, patrons can enjoy free admission.
The Betty Brinn website mentions the following special activities will be held during the event:
- AWEsome Art! (5:00 – 8:00 P.M.)
Join professional artists and teachers from Artists Working in Education to create a unique piece of art to take home. Then, work with AWE and BBCM staff and other Museum visitors to help create a collaborative piece of art that will be on display in the Museum starting June 18. Age 3 and older. - Money Minders (6:00 P.M.)
Children will enjoy money-related stories and games, practice making financial choices and use play money to “purchase” a light snack. Parents learn how to develop their child’s financial vocabulary, establish good financial habits early on, and encourage thinking about earning, saving and philanthropy. For children age 4 and older. - Book Discussion: “Learning Together with Young Children” (6:00 – 8:00 P.M.)
Explore principles and practical applications from the book “Learning Together with Young Children: A Curriculum Framework for Reflective Teachers” by Deb Curtis and Margie Carter. Learn ways to create an educational culture that welcomes and nourishes children and families. Adults only please.
The WaterStone Bank & FOX 6 Neighborhood Nights at the Betty Brinn Children’s Museum take place every third Thursday of the month.
