Boo at the Zoo 2011 on Friday and Saturday Night

flickr MGSheltonThe Milwaukee County Zoo will be hosting one of two annual Halloween celebrations, Boo at the Zoo, the evenings of Friday, October 21st and Saturday, October 22nd.  The fun family event runs between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on both nights.  Admission is reduced to $6.50 for adults and $5 for children ages 3 to 12.  Parking is $6.  If you’re a Zoo Pass member, admission is free.  If you can’t make this weekend’s Boo at the Zoo, next weekend is the annual Halloween Trick-or-Treat Spooktacular at the Zoo.

Scheduled Boo at the Zoo events include:

  • Take a haunted train ride aboard Raven’s Rail for a spooky spin around the park.
  • The Halloween Haystack Maze, located in the Center of the Northwestern Mutual Family Farm.
  • A display of glowing and hand-carved pumpkins in the outdoor Pumpkin Patch.
  • Wolf Woods Crossing boardwalk, which features illuminated pumpkins and a musical animated light show.
  • Meet Captain Jack Sparrow in the Zoo’s U.S. Bank Gathering Place.
  • Temporary tattoos in the Big Cat House.

You can get a free ride on the Penzeys Spices Carousel from Sendik’s, by visiting a Ballistreri Owned & Operated Sendik’s Food Market and picking up a free ticket..

Next weekend the Zoo hosts the Halloween Trick-or-Treat Spooktacular, which has many of the same activities as Boo at the Zoo.  For more details about Boo at the Zoo, visit the Milwaukee County Zoo website.
