no call listThe deadline to put your name on the Wisconsin No Call List is Monday, November 30th.  By adding your name to the list by the deadline, you’ll be on the list starting January 1, 2010.  If you signed up for the list in the past, you might want to do it again just to make sure you’re covered.  Land line and cell phone numbers can be added to the list.  Once your name goes on the list, it stays there for a period of 2 years.

Adding your phone numbers to the No Call List will prevent most telemarketers from calling, but it won’t stop all calls.  Under the current law, non-profit organizations, political candidates, and elected officials are all allowed to solicit you even if you are on the No Call List.

To ensure that your numbers are on the do not call list, you can sign up free a couple of different ways:

You can sign up for the No Call List at anytime. If you missed the November 30th deadline, simply sign up before the February 28, 2010, deadline and you’ll be added to the next quarterly release of the No Call List on April 1, 2010.
