I picked up a couple game pieces when I shopped yesterday. I like this game SO MUCH MORE than that stupid Monopoly game they had. I didn’t have to keep anything. I didn’t win, so I just threw my game pieces away. For the Monopoly game, I had to keep all those dumb pieces that I never ended up winning anything with.

This game is worse than the monopoly game! You are only allowed to scratch off 3 of the 9 footballs and they have to all match! The odds have to be terrible. AND THEN–if you do happen to get all 3 alike— you win a buck!! Great! I had 13 tickets and of course didn’t win a thing. THe 25 cents off coupon of various items which is on the bottom of each ticket is really a waste of my time to scratch off–usually items that I don’t even want to buy. This promotion is really a dissappointment.

Well I scratched my ticket and got three footballs that matched and my prize said you could win two packer tickets so I sent it to address green bay sweepstakes on back of ticket thinking that was what to do and the checkout gent said no I should have brought to counter and they could verify and see if I did win. The negative things about this game is that only one symbol appears 3 times so the chances of winning are very, very slim. It would have been better if they had only six footballs or three sets of three so someone has a better chance of winning. I would be very surprised if anyone won with these tickets.

If you are choosing 3 footballs of 9, there are 84 possible combinations to scratch. Only one of these ways is right. So you have about a 1% chance of winning on each card…

Don’t feel bad about getting the 25 cents off coupons, some of mine today were “Sorry, you win nothing”.

I won two tickets to game 1 of the World Series at Miller Park. *SIGH* Just kidding, but this promotion is stupid. I suspect the “good” prizes will be invalid because you scratch off the wrong spots. That makes it a joke if that’s the case. I just won two free cards; I’m going to bet all the spots are the same so it doesn’t matter which three you scratch off. You virtually win nothing except a 25 cent coupon good for products you don’t use.

Sick n’ Pave needs a CEO who doesn’t think like a Flatlander, for openers. He markets to people like they just moved here from Chicago. High prices every day but whoopee, lookit our SALES! Yeah, whatever. Their sales flyers and coupon books look so much like Jewel’s strategies it’s laughable. “Save $2.00 when you buy any sixty cans of Bush’s baked beans! Must buy sixty!”

At least Sentry Foods will honor their sales prices by each item. If it’s 2 for 4 bucks, they’ll sell you 1 for two dollars, not a big deal. I’ve had Sick n’ Pave cashiers tell me I MUST buy the minimum of 10 items or whatever to get the sales prices. That’s great if it’s something I’ve got room for, like gum, but when it comes to stuff like frozen turkeys or boxes of cereal, I don’t have a place to store it or any hope of eating it all before it expires. Oh, and I’ve gotten rotten produce from Sick n’ Pave too. Last time I fall for the $1.88 bag of potatoes.

As someone else mentioned, the tickets that win you 2 more tickets have the same symbol under all 9 footballs. I did actually win a $1 the other day, took it up to customer service and had to fill out all this stuff with my info for a lousy dollar. If they are going to make it this hard to win something, the least they could do is make the prizes better.

Who was the mathematical genius who thought of this game. If my calculations are correct, you have a 504 to 1 chance of guessing the 3 correct balls. My small sample of 40 tickete resulted in 1 prize over $5. therefore, I have a 20,000 to 1 to win over $5. You’ve got to be kidding me.

Just when I thought it couldn’t get worse than Monopoly…

I must have received hundreds of tickets since this game started. The only thing I won so far is more tickets.

I now have a system.
1) Scratch off only the “WI” letters in “Extra Winning Play” at the bottom. If it says 25c underneath, then move on. I don’t need/want a 25 cents coupon.
2) Scratch off only the letter “R” in Prize Box. If it says $1, then I have a remote chance of winning $1 WINNING PLAY cash. Not worth my time to try to scratch off footballs.
Sometimes these tickets go to the kids, otherwise directly in the trash.

One ticket today stated “You could win $5 cash” in the prize box… I *COULD* win? Anyway, I didn’t get the magic matching footballs. Into the trash with the other 18 tickets. Such a waste of paper and printing.

I scratch these off for the heck of it! I have won a pack of gum & a bag of Jay’s Potato chips on the Extra scratch at the bottom, just scratch the WI location, if it is a coupon throw it away – not worth it.
I have scratched nearly 150 of these and have won on 20 total tickets (more tickets or $1)

If you play smart, you can somewhat keep track of the winning-est locations / patterns.

I have better odds of winning on a lottery ticket….How about bringing back points for every $35 I spend so that I can at least get a gift card in return for shopping there??? These contests are a waste of my time, the 25 cent coupons are always for useless items that I don’t want & even if I did, they won’t double them?? I think this game is a rip off. I have successfully matched 3 helmets 3 times only to see in the prize box “i could win” two more of these tickets. Is this even legal! Pick-n-save must be feeling a drop in customers to put out such a disappointing illusion that they care about their customers. I am beginning to hate going to these stores. They never have what I need and their prices are starting to become alittle too much for my budget. Piggley Wggley and Dollar General are better bargains everyday all day!

this is a stupid game. As far as I can tell, the only way to win anything big is to mail the tickets, one per envelope, to the address on the back. As far as the scratch-offs, that’s practically impossible.
So I felt good when I scratched 3 helmets till I see all I won was 2 more tickets. Then to top it off, someone here says on those tickets all the footballs are helmets, so you can’t lose.
On most tickets the prize was $1 Winning Play cash–what the h__ is that?!
Truly pointless.

I’m surprised anyone likes this new scratch off game, I find it incredibly stupid. The other day I went to Pick N Save and with my purchase, combined with the fact they’re now doing double tickets until they run out, I ended up with 28 tickets – I won a dollar. Not really sure why I wasted the time scratch them all off, but I suppose, I’m at least a dollar ahead, but there is no rhyme or reason to it, so not only is it a guessing game, it’s worse, it’s just pure dumb luck to match 3 symbols (that is, unless you have the tickets that award additional tickets. Found out from a friend, and later confirmed, that on those tickets, all 9 footballs are helmet symbols).

Add to that, that more than a few times I get the “no promotion or offer” or whatever in the second chance scratch off, where the (useless) coupons are, if they’re going to pull that, they might as well just not right anything and just show a picture of a hand giving you the bird; because you waste the time scratching off the second chance box and they can’t even bother to at least give a coupon? Of course, most of the coupons are useless; if they’re not for hearing batteries or 50+ vitamins, they’re for feminine hygiene products, and I’m a guy in his 20s…

Frankly, I didn’t have a problem with the Monopoly promotion they did; it really wasn’t any different than the one they do at McDonald’s, with the key exception that I shop at Pick N Save a heck of a lot more than I eat at McDonald’s, which meant I could actually play that promotion for once. I would agree that the better promotions are the ones with appreciable results, where the odds of winning are NOT astronomical and you can feel like you’re actually achieving something by participating. This current attempt at….whatever this promotion was trying to accomplish, failed at that completely.

I have no complaints, I have done well. I usually ship Wednesday for double coupons, and get twice as many. Plus I flirt with the checkout ladies all the time. I also run there a ton for my elderly neighbors and play their cards so I have scratched a ton of losers off and feel your pain. However I have done well.

I scratch the prize box first… If I see the win 2 free tickets, I scratch the football helmet on the top right, I scratch the bottom right and make a triangle with the center of the second row from the right. Occasionally it backfires, but I won more tickets this way than I can recall.

On the match three:
I won 8 $1 prizes
One $5
over a dozen Two additional tickets.

On the bottom instant win:
1 small bottle of Orange Juice
1 box of bagel bites
1 roll of paper towel
$20 gift card instant win

I scratch the prize box off, and refer to a pile of loser tickets where I scratched the entire thing off. Noticed a few paterns, but mostly blind luck. Granted I have scratched hundreds to get the wins I did.

The coupons are nice, but Chairman Bob, how bout more than 25 cents off an item. Most are for 5.00+ items. The only good deals are a 25 cents off of 58 cent yogart, and 25 cents off a snickers bar. On double coupon days, they are almost free..

This game is a fraud and rip-off to the customer. I too, matched 3 helmets but only win 2 play tickets – what a bunch of crap. These tickets are free, no purchase necessary as noted on the ticket stub. I will never shop at another Pick’n Save. How can a prize be winning two play tickets when they are free and a purchase is’nt necessary. I am going to file a compliant to the Attorney General’s office and maybe all of us who were ripped off file a class action suit against Pick’n Save!!!!

I scratched off 2e (TWENTY-THREE!!!!) tickets. Of those 23 ONE (1) ticket was for 2 extra tickets. Curious, I scratched off the other 6 spots & found they were all the same, a football helmet. Of the remaining 22 tickets they were all $1 dollar winners if I could have scratched off 3 like symbols by only scratching off 3 spots. I couldn’t!!! The breakdown is as follows: 4 spots removed–1; 5 spots removed–2;
6 spots removed–2; 7 spots removed–3; 8 spots removed–7; & 9 spots removed–7.
All the tickets were given to me at one time (today) after paying for my groceries. (Presumedly, because the game is coming to an end.) Based on the above I can only conclude no one is going to win the Grand Prizes. Nice scamming Roundy’s. Sure would like to see whoever regulates these types of grocery lotteries investigate this.

I can’t help but think it might be a little better, if it was at least done where you match 3, but could scratch off up to 5 spaces. It wouldn’t be a given that you’d win, but the odds would be a little better and you wouldn’t have that instant sense of defeat when the second space you scratch off isn’t a match; or if you happen to match two on the first two goes, you have that same feeling of impending disappointment, because the odds of the next scratch being the right choice is so ridiculously low.

Now, I haven’t seen or heard anything to back this up, but I believe the larger prizes are supposed to be part of that lower, second round scratch off; based entirely on how the text on that section is worded. It would make this game a thousand times dumber if they put the large prizes in the part with almost no chance of being won – but of course, I haven’t heard about anyone winning anything substantial yet either. One of the downsides to a game being played over such a broad area, too, I suppose. Much more interesting when the game is more local and the results are more clearly seen and can be appreciated.

The only 2 tickets I won so far are for – 2 more tickets- Guess what? The little numbers next to the symbols were the same on both tickets, as the positions. So if you save all your losers you might match a potential winner to one of them, if you are bored enough,

Two reasons that’s not true, I did check several previous tickets and they don’t reconcile with any matching positions for winning symbols. Secondly, all of the tickets that win two free tickets are same, in that you’ll find helmets under all 9 spaces; it doesn’t matter where you scratch off, so long as you scratch off 3, you’ll always win on those tickets – that’s why all you ever get with those are two more free tickets.

Your Winning Play game is the absolutly WORST game I have ever experienced as a grocery store contest.

It is a waste of paper. The scratch offs net nothing more than more scratch off papers.

It has been going on TOO long.

It is a nuisance.

How about lowering prices and forget about all of the games.

I found myself going to SENTRY these last few months and finding better deals. I never did that before. You and this ridiculous game have driven me there.

I think this game stinks. If you get the game piece with the $250,000 DreaM Home you still have very little chance of winning. I have over 200 game pieces scratched

The game is stupid, time wasting. I had a huge stack of tickets, ended up with maybe 10 saying you COULD win extra tickets. i’ll take them in and get more which won’t win of course. The 25 cent coupons, as in the monopoly game are worthless to me. I never used any of them.

I now shop Aldi, Walmart and Target most of the time. I’d rather have better prices than stupid games. LISTEN PIC N SAVE!

Followup: I took in my tickets allowing me to rreceive more tickets. Guess what? There was a big sign on the counter saying, Sorry, we are out of game tickets.

I had one saying you COULD winn a dollar and we did! So, in all we won one dollar through the entire game, all of our 3-football scratch offs were for nothing cuz they ran out. We stopped at 2 stores byw.

Please, give us lower prices; stop the games.
