The 2011 Wisconsin State Fair kicks off Thursday, August 4 and runs for 11 days through August 14.  There are several opportunities for free or reduced admission if you plan ahead.  The regular ticket prices for the 2011 Fair are as follows:

  • Adult (12 & over) - $9
  • Seniors (60 & over) & Disabled Persons – $6
  • Youth (ages 6 – 11) – $5
  • Children (5 & under) – FREE

Parking on the Fair grounds is $10.  Free street parking is available in the neighborhoods surrounding State Fair Park, however it usually isn’t easy to find an open spot.  You can typically find a lawn to park on for $5 or so within a couple blocks of an entrance.  The largest concentration of lawns to park on is in the neighborhood west of the Fair grounds.

Drawing For Free Tickets

If you haven’t entered our daily drawing for free tickets to the Wisconsin State Fair, there is still time to do so.  We’re drawing a winner each day for the 10 days preceding the Fair.

Advance Ticket Promotions

The best way to get free tickets is to get them in advance of the Fair.  Miller, Leinenkugel’s, and Sprecher all have free ticket offers with purchases of their respective products.  See our previous post for a comprehensive overview of all of the Wisconsin State Fair Advance Free Ticket Promotions.

  2. It really erks me that their is a day for non-Wisc residents to get a deal day and we Wisconsinites have to pay full price that day. They have done this in the last 2 year as well. Why should we be getting stiffed?

  4. Nathan – It is hard to disagree with your comment. I have to admit that I like the name DiscoverWisconsin.com Day better than the previous name – Illinois Day.

  6. Nate: Your missing the whole point of the promotion. If it helps bring money into our states economy, as well as promote our products and services to our neighbors, why get hung up and make a big deal out of this. Besides, there are other discount admission promotions that non- Wisconsin residents would have limited access to.
