Rescan Your Convertor Box To Pick Up New Channels on MPTV
We know some of our frugal readers may not subscribe to cable or satellite and therefore depend on digital converter boxes for their television needs. If you fall into this category, Milwaukee Public Television (MPTV) is recommending that you rescan your television set or convertor box to pick up the new channels that MPTV released on September 1st.
A new and improved weather service can now be found on channel 10.4. In addition, the changes allow channel 36.1 to move from standard definition to high definition in 2011.
For viewers who have found it difficult to pick up 10.1 since the transition to digital converter boxes in July 2009, MPTV is now simulcasting channel 10.1 with a VHF signal and channel 36.2 with a UHF signal, making it possible for TV sets with a VHF&UHF antenna to pick up the channels.
The MPTV line-up consists of:
- 10.1 HD WMVS
- 10.2 World
- 10.3 V-me
- 10.4 Weather (new)
- 36.1 SD WMVT
- 36.2 SD Simulcast of 10.1
- 36.3 Create
- 36.4 Classical music
- 36.5 Jazz music
- 36.6 Traffic
