  4. I went to a NARI Home Improvement Show. I filled out a referral card. My name was purchased by sales agent, Michael J. Wolf (8/2/1946). He contracted for a whooping $6000 commission as sales agent to the “NARI” member contractor Alex Kunitzyn of Generon who did nothing for the $18,000 I paid him. Please check out (both by name and business name) on http://www.wicourts.gov anyone you consider hiring. “Contractor Approved” , “free” referral companies are selling your name for a fee. Do they independently verify the contractor supplied information they are given? I don’t know. Even the state licensing board did not verify that the insurance my contractor provided them was not only no longer in effect but probably never existed because an old policy had “been altered” according to the insurance agent. Get a certificate of insurance from the insurance company directly, not the contractor. Eventually, NARI would only confirm that the contractor’s membership was revoked and I felt they were very unhelpful to me. My contractor had purchased memberships in both the BBB and NARI. There was a real lag time between when those memberships were revoked and the many clients in 3 counties that were signed and victimized. I wish I had never gone to the NARI show.
