New Arby’s $1 Menu
Arby’s has followed McDonald’s and Burger King by introducing their own dollar menu. The following items are part of the Arby’s $1 Value Menu:
- Jr. Chicken Sandwich
- Jr. Ham & Cheddar Melt
- Jr. Roast Beef
- Value Drink
- Value Shake
- Value Fries
- Apple or Cherry Turnover
Some cheapskates have been known to buy a kids meal to save money. Choosing 3 items (sandwich, fries, and drink) from the $1 menu is actually cheaper than purchasing the kids meal (although you’ll miss out on the toy). The advertisements that Arby’s has been running recently indicate that the dollar menu is a limited time promotion.

Just a warning – it says dollar but in small print above it, it says “starting at”. Some of those items are more than a dollar, and you won’t know which ones unless you ask (or when you pay higher than expected) because the prices aren’t listed on the menu. Awesome advertising tactics.
I went to arbys the other day to order off the dollar menu, as advertised on national tv. they haven’t started that promotion yet and the size will be smaller that the jr size, as told to me by the arbys employee. jr size has 2 oz of meat , the dollar menu will have 1.5 oz of meat.
I went to the Arby’s at the foodcourt at the mall and all items were $1. It has been that way for months. Price and participation varies I guess.
SOME of us choosing to buy a kid’s meal are NOT cheapskates. SOME of us can’t have a large meal, due to various medical conditions, or just plain don’t have a big appetite. I have a condition that restricts my stomach opening, so eating too much or even too fast causes pain and vomiting. A kid’s meal is the perfect size. Now that they have single sandwiches at a reasonable price, instead of one cheeseburger that costs more than the kid’s meal, more of us will buy them.
Let’s hope the Arby’s dollar menu is here to stay unlike the McDonalds one that is going away soon.
