If you’re interested in dining deals, then you may want to spend five minutes watching this video. CNBC’s Carmen Wong Ulrich interviews Consumer Reports “Tightwad” Tod Marks for tips on how diners can receive dining deals and where readers of Consumer Reports are finding the best dining values today.

“Tightwad” Tod states that dining deals exist at all ends of the restaurant spectrum and that deals are announced daily, so he recommends visiting the websites of your favorite restuarants and signing up for their email alerts.  If you follow this advice, you may want to do what Carmen Wong Ulrich suggests and set up a separate email address just for these types of deals.

Also, the readers of Consumer Reports found that the best value for a steak dinner was at Outback Steakhouse.  Outback currently features 15 meals for under $15 that start at $9.95, and Outback also has an e-mail newsletter that you can sign up for on their website.  Outback has two restaurants in the Milwaukee area – one in Greenfield and one in Brookfield.  For specific address information, click here.
