Thus far…my favorite restaurant is Roots. Although MKE has numerous great offerings, Roots caters to many different taste buds and is always changing their menu. The service is great but the outdoor view on an sunny afternoon over a glass of wine is phenominal.
Love Izumi’s! Have been eating there for about 15 years. Our absolute favorite is the scallop sashimi. It’s one place we never have had a bad experience.
We always try to mix it up with some new dishes to balance out our tried and true. Great martini’s too. The service is friendly and attentive without being obtrusive.
A great place to eat is the Painted Parrot. I really enjoy the tropical – Jamaican style atmosphere and food. They have a nice bar, great drinks, there is something for everyone on the menu. If you’re looking to try new places you at least have to give a try for the atmosphere.
Best Website for dinning.
Weissgerber’s Golden Mast on Okauchee Lake
I like texas roadhouse in New Berlin ! Kid friendly also !
I love Eddie Martini’s. It’s such a classy restaurant.
I would have to say Riptide! Their atmosphere is amazing, right on the river and adjacent to Summerfest grounds. Don’t worry seafood haters, there are plenty of “non-seafood” choices! It’s a great place to go
My wife and I love Heaven City in Mukwonago. It is such a unique place. We also like Northstar American Bistro. I love these 80% off sales….I usually stock up on GC’s to a Heavan City and Northstar.
I am glad Jessica mentioned Riptide. I have wanted to try that place out, and didn’t realize that it was available on restaurant.com.
I really like Tulip in Milwaukee’s 3rd Ward. Traditional Turkish reinvented with global twists such as almond mashed purple potatoes. Amazing desserts and a nice cup of strong coffee round out a satisfying lunch or dinner. Indoor/outdoor seating and wide screen TV’s to catch the soccer matches. Praise this good, you’d think I was on the payroll, but there are few Mediterranean restaurants this good, for this price in Milwaukee.
Benny’s Cafe on South 27th Street as they have such a variety on their
menu and everything is homemade! The prices are extremely reasonable.
This place is family owned and they make you feel like you are family.
My favorite would be Karl Ratsch – I’ve been going there for over 40 years and the high quality has been unchanged. And the ambiance – supurb!
On of the nicer places we ate at was Bistro Bar in the Hyatt down town, tasty fare, but a bit pricy, the ambiance adds to the flare.
My favorite place to eat is Texas Roadhouse, because of the atmosphere and reasonable prices, I can enjoy a good steak dinner and feel right at home. You don’t need to dress up to have a good dinner, and everyone is always polite.
My favorite would Still be Karl Ratsch
It’s Fox & Hounds for me
Out of the restaurants listed on restaurant.com I really enjoy The Olive Tree. It is small and quaint with great Italian food.
I second the recommendations for Karl Ratsch’s. Best German fare in Milwaukee!!
I love the Bangkok House on Layton Ave. in St. Francis.
Rustico Pizzeria & Enoteca
223 N. Water
Milwaukee, WI 53202
Great atmosphere, staff & excellent food!!
The Milwaukee Chop House has always been one of my favorites!
The Milwaukee Chophouse
633 N. 5th St
Milwaukee, WI 53202
(414) 390-4562
I love all of these suggestions…thank you everyone for sharing.
I like the Texas Roadhouse too. It is a fun place to go, and like the others have said…very family friendly.
