Operation Coupon
WISN.com recently posted an interesting story about coupons that we thought would appeal to readers of Milwaukee Consumer. A woman by the name of Ellen LaValla from Minnesota started to clip coupons for military families overseas to help them cut their expenses. Local organizations heard about her great idea and started sending her coupons too. One thank you note Mrs. LaValla received from a military family stated they saved $500 in one year by using these coupons!
What a great way to help those who serve and protect our country. Unfortunately we couldn’t locate a website for Mrs. LaValla. However, we did come across a similar operation in the Chicago area. If you are aware of any Milwaukee area organization that collects coupons for a similar type of cause, please contact us at Milwaukee Consumer and we’ll post the information to our website!
