Milwaukee Admirals hockey starts this season on Saturday, October 9th, at 7pm at the Bradley Center when the “Ads” take on the Abbotsford Heat. Recently the Admirals announced their promotional schedule for the 2010/2011 season. Promotional highlights include:
- Bob Uecker Bobblehead Night- On Friday, February 18th, the first 5,000 fans will take home a bobblehead of Bob Uecker. The bobblehead will feature Uecker wearing his plaid sport coat he made famous during his commercials for the Admirals in the 1990′s.
- Village People Concert – On Friday, December 3rd, the Village People take the stage for a post-game concert. The concert is free to anyone who attends the game.
- UW Badger Band- The Badger Band will perform during the game on Friday, February 4th, and for a special “4th period” performance after the game. In addition, the first 5,000 fans will receive a Blake Geoffrion bobblehead. Geoffrion, currently playing for the Ads, was a former Badger star and recipient of the Hobey Baker award, which is an award given to the top NCAA men’s hockey player each year.
As far as deals go, there are a lot of great values to see exciting hockey at the Bradley Center:
- Veteran’s Day – To celebrate Veteran’s Day, the Admirals are giving away free tickets to Veteran’s on November 5th.
- Private Bank Family Days- This popular promotion is back again this year, and features nine games where fans can purchase four $16 tickets, four hot dogs, and four small Pepsi products for $44. The family can also bring skates to the Bradley Center and take a few laps around the ice after the game!

Restaurant.com One Day Sale – $25 Gift Certificates for $1!
Due to overwhelming demand, this sale has been extended! It will expire at 2:01 A.M. central time, October 2nd.
Restaurant.com is having a one day 90% off sale today only. With this special deal, you can get a $25 gift certificate for only $1 (regular price – $10)! Or if you prefer, you can get a $10 restaurant gift certificate for only $0.40. This is only the second time ever that prices for gift certificates from Restaurant.com have been this low. There are over 100 restaurants in the Milwaukee area that participate in the Restaurant.com program and new restaurants are being added all the time.
Popular Milwaukee restaurants include Kil@Wat, Brocach Irish Pub, The Pasta Tree, Joey’s Seafood Grill, Metro Bar & Cafe, Ward’s House of Prime, Cafe Manna, The Wicked Hop, Mo’s Irish Pub, Haute Taco, and over 100 others. To take advantage of this offer, visit the Restaurant.com website. When you check out, enter coupon code WOW to save 90% on your order.
Since this sale is likely to be very popular, some of your favorite restaurants might be sold out. If that is the case, a great strategy for these sales is to buy a stockpile of Restaurant.com gift certificates (as opposed to gift certificates to a specific restaurant) to use at a later date. Gift certificates can be purchased at a discount and then applied to the purchase of a certificate for the restaurant of your choice at any time in the future. That way you can be assured that you always pay no more than $1 for a $25 gift certificate.
Each of the participating restaurants has restrictions, such as minimum purchase amounts and days that the gift certificates can be used. Make sure to read the details for the restaurant you’re considering before making your purchase.
George Webb Chicken-Flavored Noodle Soup $0.99 Coupon
Have you heard about the controversy surrounding George Webb’s chicken-flavored noodle soup? According to an article that appeared recently in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, George Webb was forced to change their recipe after their supplier of chicken soup stock abruptly stopped making their blend. No big deal, right? Wrong! Lovers of the neon green colored chicken-flavored noodle soup were up in arms at the recipe change. After trying several other unacceptable alternatives, they were able to find a local company that would make a suitable substitute. Everyone seems to be happy now with the chicken-flavored noodle soup, although why can’t they just call it “chicken noodle soup”?
To celebrate the return of the neon green chicken-flavored noodle soup to their menu, Webb’s has posted a coupon good for a cup of soup for $0.99 on their Facebook page. The coupon is good through the end of October, and is valid for fans of George Webb on Facebook (so become a fan if you aren’t already).
