Sams Club P&G rebate
A personal finance blog, Coupon Cravings, recently posted a great deal for Sams Club members. Spend over $50 on Proctor and Gamble products by February 14, 2009, and receive a $10 Sams Club gift card by mail. Milwaukee Repairs and Restoration
Terence Falk, a local freelance writer, wrote an article for Milwaukee Magazine back in 2006 highlighting some of the best places to go in the Milwaukee area for repairs and restoration. Given the state of the economy, we thought this article would be useful as many consumers are starting to repair and restore items instead of throwing them out and purchasing new ones. Milwaukee Car Repair – Transmission Fluid Changes
It pays to shop around when you need maintenance or repair on your vehicle. Consider my recent experience shopping for a transmission fluid change. I called around for a few quotes and was surprised at the range of prices. Here are the quotes I received:
- One major milwaukee area dealer $149.95
- Another major milwaukee area dealer $129.95
- Car-X $119.95
- Valvoline $109.95 (less $10 in-store coupon)
- Farm and Fleet $89.95
I ended up going to Valvoline. While they weren’t the best deal available, it was very convenient. I was in and out in a half an hour. The wait at Farm and Fleet would have been much longer, but that could vary depending on what day and what time of day you contact them.
Again, the moral of the story is to shop around. Also, be sure to consult our Milwaukee Coupons page to see if there are any valuable local coupons that are available.
